summaryfeed is a review queue for the links you save, not just storage for them. It turns each saved page into a short, imperfect summary card, so you can tell what it’s about, decide whether it deserves a full read, and mark the rest done instead of letting it pile up.

Each card is drafted by an AI model from the page you saved, so treat it as a preview, not the final word — open the source whenever the details matter. summaryfeed is intentionally narrow: not a research assistant or a search engine, just a first pass to help you triage what you saved. We don’t sell your saved links or use them for advertising.

One honest note: this is a personal side project, not a company, built and run by one person in their spare time. It’s free, provided as-is, and could change or shut down without notice — so keep your own copy of anything that matters. The Terms spell this out in full.

What works best

Public articles, blog posts, newsletters, and most plain web pages summarize well. A few things don’t:

  • Videos — title, description, and thumbnail only; we can’t transcribe the video.
  • PDFs and documents — summarized when readable text can be extracted; otherwise only the link and metadata are saved.
  • Paywalled or login-gated pages — may only show a title and description.

Either way, the link is saved. Use the card as a first pass, then open the original when something matters.

Frequently asked questions

How do I save links?
Install the Chrome extension for one-click saves on desktop. On your phone, install summaryfeed as an app and paste a URL in the browser; installed Android PWAs can also receive shared links — the Install page walks through both.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Your saved items are cached on your device, so they stay available even when you lose signal — on the train, on a plane, or anywhere with a spotty connection.
Who can use summaryfeed?
You must be at least 16 to create an account — summaryfeed isn’t directed at children. See the Terms for details.
Is my data private?
Yes — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.
Is it free?
Yes. The current service is free; paid plans may be added later.
